School supplies drive for Hurricane Michael victims

Alachua County Council of PTA’s is collecting school supplies for schools in Springfield, Calloway and Parker in the Panhandle that were impacted by Hurricane Michael. Many of these schools suffered major damage, and new supplies would mean a lot to the kids as they return to school in a few weeks. The list of supplies needed is below. If you are able, please pack one of each item into a backpack or large bag. If you are able to donate just a few items, that would be great too. Anything helps!

Water bottle
Color pencils
Thumb drive
Ear buds
Small bags (to hold feminine products)

In addition to that, the following items are needed for some of the bags:
(for the younger kids):
Lunch boxes
Small plushy to attach to the backpack
Small comfort blanket

Drop-off locations:
Items can be dropped off at the following locations until November 8:
Wiles Elementary School, 4601 SW 75th St., Gainesville
